SAMK offers a Success in Studies Scholarship for non-EU/EEA degree students who pay tuition fees. During their degree studies, students can apply for a scholarship after each academic year and receive 50% of the paid tuition fee back by progressing well in their studies.

SAMK offers Finnish language scholarships for non-EU/EEA degree students who pay tuition fees. Students can receive 1,500 € for achieving CEFR level A2.2 (Basic User) or 3,000 € for achieving CEFR level B1.2 (Independent User), based on the National Certificate of Language Proficiency (YKI 3). The scholarship can be awarded once, at the earliest after the first academic year. Students who receive the A2.2 scholarship may later apply for the B1.2 scholarship after the second academic year.

The Student Ambassador Scholarship is available for non-EU/EEA students studying in SAMK’s English-taught bachelor’s degree programmes. This €1000 award is granted to students who demonstrate active commitment to learning the Finnish language during their studies. A continuing student at SEAMK can apply for a language proficiency scholarship. SEAMK’s language scholarship aims to encourage students to learn the Finnish language in order to advance future employment of international degree students in Finland. Finnish studies in a Bachelor degree programme at SEAMK start from beginner level Finnish and aim for the level of A1.3 and A2.1. Tuition-paying applicants admitted to the master’s degree programme are awarded a scholarship of 10 % from the paid tuition fee if the studies are accomplished within the set target time (1 academic year/60 credits, 1,5 academic year/90 credits).
